その傍ら、PIANOPIANOの寄付金の計算、PIANOPIANOの新しい企画などの話し合いをした春の日でした。

It is not easy to have a slow life during a busy morning.  However, the moment when preparing coffee or tea, holding the cup and then tasting mindfully.  The sequence can help our life slow down.

For my coffee time every morning,  I am enjoying the coffee taste with HASAMI porcelain.

HASAMI is a little town located in Nagasaki -southern Japan. Luckily it is not far from my home town.  This town is known well along with neighbouring Arita, Saga prefecture for its china manufacturing.

A design company Maruhiro creates tools for daily life.

PIANOPIANO

Megumi Nizato who is a creative graphic designer, has designed the logo for this brand. Hasami means Scissor in Japanese.   Risa Nizato who is a talented porcelain designer in Maruhiro, she is creating the design of the goods.

We have a sisterly relationship, when I hold this cup in the busy morning, it reminds me their sweet smile (:  and my day starts with the cup.    What I like in their work is that they create useful items for everyday life but also there is a playful essence in their design.

It is called in Japanese – asobi gokoro.

Ability to stack to cup specially pleasing .

私の朝の生活の中にすっかりとけこんでいる道具。

長崎の波佐見焼きのマルヒロのカップ＆プレート。　有田焼もいいけど、波佐見焼もいい。

妹のような存在であるかわいいアーティスト姉妹がロゴデザイン（Megumi)、カップデザイン(Risa)したものだから、更に愛着を感じます。遠いところで頑張っている二人を時に思いながら、豆を挽き、コーヒーを入れ、✁カップでロンドンの朝を少しゆっくりめに始めるのでした。

 

ゆっくり生きていこう。元気に遠くまで行けるように

I had a precious time in Japan with family and friends.

Japan… it is my teacher, I learn from people who live in there and cultures and life in their tradition.   Much respect…

In 2015   I will do my best to become nice bridge to east to west,  to south to north, to past to present PIANO PIANO…

明けましておめでとうございます。

年末年始は里帰りし、家族、友人に再会ができ、２０１５年の新しい扉を開けることができました。　父や母 の笑顔を見れたことが何よりに嬉しく、長年来の友人達、兄弟、親戚のみなさんとの再会も嬉しく、語り合い、刺激しあい、喜びの中に自分がいます。

日本という国は私の先生であり、そこに住む人々、祖先の方が作り上げた文化、習慣、それを守っていく人々に、本当に尊敬の念です。

今年も少しでも、東西・南北、古今　橋になれるように、PIANOPIANOゆっくりがんばっていきますので、宜しくお願い致します。

Lunch after yoga

After the yoga practice Billy’s yoga we had lunch together with beautiful weather. Everybody is using PIANOPIANO yoga bag 🙂 Very warm-hearted member !

My yoga teacher, Billy will publish his yoga book very soon. I will be in the book as yoga model…a bit.

Japanese spring sweet

A tea time with my hometown green tea and Japanese sweet

Tea- Ureshino tea, Ureshino  is a city located in the western part of Saga Prefecture on the island of Kyushu Japan. Ureshino is an area surrounded by green tea fields, and is well known as one of the best green tea producers in Japan, as the method of tea production dates back to 1504. This tradition has been carried on today in the delicate aroma and flavour of the tea.

Sweet – Special spring time Japanese sweet, made with cherry blossom leaves (sakura).  The sweet is produced by a traditional Japanese tea ceremony sweet shop in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture in Japan.  A special souvenir from my lovely student.

A shower of cherry blossom petals, the smell of fresh herbs and flowers in the fields…  Missing Japanese spring time…

ポーランド人の生徒さんから嬉しい便りと島根県からのお土産を頂きました。松江の老舗三英堂の春の和菓子でした。　ほんのり桜葉の香りするお菓子・・・嬉野茶と一緒にありがたく頂きました。

夏か冬に帰国するので、日本の春は１０年以上帰っていないなと思いながら・・・　山の新緑の匂い、春の草花、春風にゆれる桜吹雪、故郷や家族を恋しく思う一時でした。

Guarana has been prized for thousands of years by the Amazon indians for its natural energy boosting qualities. It is traditionally grown in the rainforests of northern Brazil and its steady stimulation is a great alternative to coffee.
Of course I drink with Malawi Dedza cup.

When an early autumn walks the land and chills the breeze and touches with her hand the summer…

South east England, New Forest

Harvest Autumn has already arrived in the forest.

We started to walk into the deep forest.

Green, Moss, Water drops, Leaves, Stream, Trees, Various creature….

Sanctuary spaces spread over the forest.

I followed mushrooms masters, picking it carefully.

Slow Life – the day reminds me the one of PIANOPIANO slogan.

I could aware it thanks to friends from Lithuania.

ロンドンから車を走らせて2時間半、ニューフォーレストという森へマッシュルーム狩りへ行きました。

秋がすっかり到来していた森には、きれいな苔や倒れた木からまた新たな命の木が伸びていたり… 雨が続いていたイギリスの森は生き生きとした自然の世界が静かに広がっていました。

連れて行ったくれたのはリトアニア人の友人達。
リトアニア語が飛び交う賑やかな車の中。リトアニアでは、マッシュルーム狩りは恒例の秋のイベント。2歳の女の子も元気に森を歩いていました。

たくさん歩きました。足元や木の根元を見てマッシュルームを探し、見つけたらナイフでそっと採ります。みんなマッシュルームの事を良く見分けられるキノコ博士でした。

帰りにはヘーゼルナッツの森も見つけて、しばし車を止めてヘーゼルナッツ狩り。たくさんのヘーゼルナッツを自然からいただきました。
ヘーゼルナッツはそのまま割って食べるんだよと、みんなが教えてくれました。

森と水の国リトアニア。木や森の事を良く知っているみんなは、子どもの頃から、自然と共存した生き方を学んでいるよう。
Slow life が自然に息づいている国。ヘーゼルナッツを手で割って頬張っているみんなを見て、笑いがでました。

いつかリトアニアへ行ってみたいな…

本当に久しぶりにスローな時間。

PIANOPIANOのプロジェクトにスローな時間を一番に乗せているのに、私自身がスローな時間をここ最近ずっと忘れていたような気がします。

そんな気づきがあった一日でした。

ありがとう。

Chai latte with Malawi honey

The coldness came back to London…last night I was looking up the sky and snow, the smell was not winter anymore, the snow was in the spring air.

People are suffering with this end of winter blues. Tiredness, over thinking, stress…our immune system goes down. In this case “chai tea” will be a good company to strengthen the immune system.

寒の戻りでロンドンは昨日は雪。夜雪の降る空を見上げて深呼吸したら、もう冬の香りはしなかった。春はきている。

今日は長い寒さで疲れた体の免疫を高めるためにチャイラテを作りました。カルダモンやシナモンやターメリックをソーヤミルクで。そして優しい味のマラウイハニー。

AeroPress coffee maker

 

 

Here is a coffee Americano using the AeroPress coffee maker.

Recently I started to use AeroPress coffee maker.

As the owner of this coffee maker, we have in our hands a simple device for making very nice coffee or espresso.

I use “fine drip” grind. If you use a blade grinder, run it for 20 to 30 seconds, it helps brew very rich flavour.

Put a filter in the cap and pour two scoops of fine-drip grind coffee into the chamber.  Pour hot water slowly into the chamber. Use 80℃ water for the very best taste.  Gently press down, maintain that pressure for about 20 to 30 seconds, Gentle pressure is the key to easy Aero pressing.

 

 

 

It will be a good friend with me for camping and important tool for my PIANOPIANO project in Malawi.  Because it doesn’t need electricity !
