(シャワー) 水道からお湯はでない。毎朝、何時ごろにお湯のばけつを、部屋にとどけるか、スタッフが聞いてくれる。
No hot water from the tap, so the staff asks what time in the morning we want a bucket of hot water. No waste.
バオバブの木でできたロッジ。子供のころ、夢見たトムソーヤの家のよう。ロッジは抜群 なセンスで、空間を作っていた。フランス人のオーナーのジャンさん。「2002年に妻と始めてから、ずっとアドベンチャーさ」と話していた バオバブの木のラインをそれぞれに使ったエコ空間。バスルームにもバオバブの幹があり、シャワーを浴びた後、バオバブの木に腰掛ける。自然と共に生きている感覚は、自分の自宅でもとりいれているけど、セネガルならではの、自然に触れると・・・ 文章にはできないこの思い。
The lodge is designed with Baobab trees, when I was a child, I used to dream about sleeping in the trees like Tom Sawyer (I think most children dream about this). I was so happy that my dream came true. The lodge has been created with wonderful sense, they made a truly beautiful space. The owner, who is French, he said “It is an adventure every day ever since I started this lodge in 2002 with my wife”. The eco spaces designed using the original tree trunk, in the bathroom, after having the shower, I sit on the baobabs roots.
(ディナーな満点の星空の下で食べるが、暗くて何も見えなかったのでフラッシュで何を食べているか写真を撮った 笑）
野菜・魚中心のお料理をフレンチ風に。素材がフレッシュなのが舌に響いた。地元の植物を利用した飲み物もおいしく演出されていて、おいしかった。
The style of the cuisine was French-African, very fresh and delicious to taste.
（上右）上のお料理を作っている、セネガル人女性シェフとスタッフの方達。あたたかいコミュニケーション。キッチンはきれいに片付いていて、タイルが色とりどり。
Above are the beautiful chef and her kitchen staff, they are amazing, the kitchen space is very beautiful with mosaic tiles.
（上左）マネージャーのフランス人のピエール。ナイスガイ！フランス語ができればもっと話せたのになー。奥さんのミッシェル。ミッシェルはフランスでアーユルヴェーダを勉強していたそう。素敵な奥さんで、アーユルヴェーダのマッサージもここで取り組んでいる。私は毎朝砂浜でヨガを、彼女はバオバブのブッシュのしたで太極拳を・・・ 話が合い、心が通じ合った。
The gentleman above is Pierre, I wish I can speak French, his wife Cathy, she studied about Ayurveda massage in France. Recently I am also reading about Ayurveda, so it was nice to chat with her. You can get a nice Ayurveda massage at the Niassam Lodge. I practiced Yoga on the beach every morning, she practices tai-chi in the bush, so I felt something of a same heart from her. They are nice couple !
（上右）すっかり私もなついてしまったスタッフ。よく語り合ったけど、あれ？何語で離してたんだろ・・・シャーとニョセフ。
I had very lovely time with the staff called and Nyoruf, I talked a lot with them but which language did I use…? They speak French, Wolof …
（上左）ここで８年間朝５時から、おいしいフランスパンを作っている。親切なパパンジャイ。毎朝彼の焼き立てのフランスパンにバオバブジャムをつけて食べた。本当においしかった。 バオバブの木の上での新鮮なパンの香り。至福の時だったな〜。 最後の夜には、彼のキッチンにて、セネガルティを頂きました。
Papajay who has worked baking fresh bread for the guests every day, he makes very tasty bread from 5 am in the morning for 8 years. The last night of our stay he invited us for a cup of Senegalese tea.
自然に感謝しながら、セネガルの日の出と共にヨガをする時間。リッチでした。
Yoga practice with nature…It is a super rich time !
